Boots Wallis

Boots was inspired initially by the different styles of boot that each of us wear to school. Our individuality and personality translated onto our Elmer. She also has a bow on her tail and distinctive bright blue eyes. As a class of girls, we wanted our elephant to be feminine. The colours and patterns are inspired by our local community and the square patterns of Paul Klee’s paintings, as well as an overview of the local map and the various logos and brands of the companies involved in the donation of our Elmer. Painted by Taylor Weston, Jasmine Johnson, Alena McMachan, Holly Perkins and Saskia Toombs.
