Our Learning Programme celebrates diversity and creativity.
The Learning Programme, based on original Elmer stories, celebrates different concepts relating to diversity and allows local children the opportunity to be inspired and get creative in fun, hands-on and inspirational arts activities.
As part of the Learning Programme, local schools and community groups have pledged to raise £750 for the Hospice and they’re having a baby Elmer sculpture that they have individually designed and painted. These will be displayed on the trail alongside the large sculptures and will be returned to them once the parade has ended.
Elmer promotes positive messages about inclusivity, courage and friendship and it is hoped our herd of baby Elmer’s will help to create a sense of unity among the young people in and around Maidstone.
