A Wild in Art event in support of Heart of Kent Hospice.

Art Parade

From mid-June to the end of August, Maidstone will play host to the biggest free art event to ever come to the area!

This mass-participation family event will feature up to 50 individually-designed large Elmer sculptures, based on the much loved children’s character, Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.

At the same time, residents and visitors will also be able to meet the herds of baby Elmers, who will be popping up in special locations across the town centre and local areas, representing schools and nurseries.

Why Elmer?

Elmer was chosen for a number of reasons:

So as you can see, we have a lot in common!

For Heart of Kent Hospice, Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade is an exciting and high-profile way to raise awareness of the Hospice and how we provide outstanding support and care for local people who have a terminal illness, as well as their families and carers.
